Reliable composting solution

I've been a FoodCycler customer for a while now, first with an older model, and recently I upgraded to the FoodCycler Maestro. This new one seems a bit more efficient, and definitely quieter than my old unit. My previous experience was always good, which is why I came back. Their customer service helped me once with a filter question a while back, and they were responsive. The product quality has been consistent across both machines I've owned. It's really helped us reduce our trash, and the 'Foodilizer' is great for the garden. I keep coming back because their products just work reliably. No complaints here.

Eco 3 works well, few minor things

I ordered the FoodCycler Eco 3 after looking at a few options. The ordering process was straightforward on their website. It shipped out pretty quickly and arrived in about five days, which was fine. Setting it up was easy; the instructions were clear. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now, mostly for fruit and vegetable scraps, and it does a good job turning them into 'Foodilizer'. It's not too loud, which was a concern. The only minor thing is remembering to change the carbon filters, but they tell you how often. Overall, a solid appliance for managing kitchen waste.

Love my new FoodCycler Eco 5!

I finally got the FoodCycler Eco 5 and it's amazing! I can't believe how much food waste it handles. I put in all sorts of stuff, and it just crunches it down to nothing in a few hours. The 'Foodilizer' is actually pretty cool for my houseplants. Shipping was quick too, it came faster than I expected. I'm telling all my friends about it, seriously. Definitely buying more replacement filters from them when I need to!

Is the FoodCycler Eco 5 really that different from the Eco 3? Trying to decide which one to get.

D Dan 1 month ago
The Eco 5 has a bigger capacity, so you can do more at once. If you have a larger family or just generate a lot of food waste, it's probably worth it.

I have the Eco 3 and it's fine for just me and my partner. If you're comparing to something like the Vitamix FoodCycler, the Eco 5 is probably closer in size and features to their main model, but it really depends on how much you plan to cycle.

I'm in Austin, Texas. How long does shipping usually take? And what's their return policy like if I don't love it?

J Josh Doyle 2 months ago
Shipping seems pretty standard, I got mine in about a week to Houston. Returns were easy, I had to send back an accessory once and it was no fuss.

Yeah, shipping wasn't super fast but not terrible. As for returns, I think you have a decent window, but check their site for the exact days. You'd probably pay return shipping if it's just 'I changed my mind' though.

Thinking of getting an Eco 5. How long does a typical cycle take? And like, what can I even put in it?

A Anna Carter 2 months ago
Mine usually finishes in about 4-8 hours, depending on what I throw in there. Scraps, fruit peels, even chicken bones sometimes.

Yeah, cycles are pretty quick. I mainly use it for veggie scraps and coffee grounds. Just avoid super wet stuff or really hard pits.

Anyone know if they do military discounts? Or like, if I can stack a referral code with a holiday sale?

O Omar 2 months ago
I don't think they do military discounts directly, but you might find a general coupon around holidays. Referral codes are usually single-use, so probably not stackable with other stuff.

Nah, pretty sure you can only use one code at a time. I tried combining a newsletter sign-up with a Black Friday deal once and it didn't work.
